This was not a good experience for us. We weren't expecting a whole lot being its a buffet, but for $35 a person we expected all the food to be edible. The crab legs were not fresh and overcooked. The prime rib was raw-and I like medium rare prime rib. Our daughter loves mac and cheese and usually it's the most consistent item you'll find on any buffet. But not here. They either accidentally used soapy water or put horseradish sauce into the mix. So there she was with a heaping mound of mac n cheese on her plate. You couldn't miss the disappointment on her face after she took her first bite.

Be prepared for the price. It's definitely not cheap, however the food is good. Definitely worth it if your prepared for the price. My first visit i was a little surprised by the cost, however the food was so good that we had to return. If sea food isn't for you, then this may not be the place for you, the are a few other choices such as steak, but the hot bar price is mainly because of the unlimited crab legs.

So we'd fixed our plates and were chowing down on the delicious hush puppies that were just brought to our table in the basket. All of a sudden my friend stops talking and is staring intently at the basket if goodness. I look too and what do I see CRAWLING IN THE BASKET.... A ROACH!! I had never seen a Roach like this. My friend that use to be a health inspector said it was a German Cockroach. Needless to say my appetite was gone. We notify the server who comes over and sees it and says, WTF? She takes it to her manager. He was supposed to come to the table. After about 5 minutes or so when he sees us talking to another server he walks his behind over to the table. He was one sorry excuse for a manager. He walks over and says, "I don't know what to say. I'm the first one in and the last one out. That was a new pack of liners. If y'all don't want no more I won't charge you." He walks away. We get up and walk towards the door. Another server says, "It's not our fault." Another says, "Every kitchen around here has them." Our server runs after us and says she needs to check with the manager if he is going to charge us for the beer. Seriously?? He didn't. Obviously will not be returning.

Wow! $28 per person, I would expect the buffet to be better tasting. Okay if you're going to eat crab legs. The butter, that you have to ask for btw, tastes a little wired. There isn't that great service (some don't speak that good English). If you go after 8 be prepared for the scraps, even in the bathrooms! Will not return.

I am only giving it a 2 star rating due to the crab legs are as good as you will get at these type of buffet places. Other than that, the food is not that great. I did not finish anything I tried because it was not very tasty. Instead of trying to save a couple bucks, I wish we had spent $29 at a different buffet.

Lots of choices but nothing really special with the food. At $28, its pricey and not worth it.

Great service. Great buffet! Food was fresh and we arrived after 8pm. A bit pricey at $27.99, but the crab legs and stuffed shrimp rock. Kids under 12 are $12.98. The service was great for a buffet. If you live seafood the choices are endless.

The buffet is always $27, and there's not as much variety as some of the bigger seafood places around. The food was decent, and the crab legs are okay. They (crab legs) are not as big as the nicer buffet restaurants, but they are big enough. We did not feel like driving too far up Highway 17 because we just checked into our hotel and wanted to get some rest before heading out for the evening. I probably would not go back, but overall it was okay.

Would not go back. This place is very very expensive and the food was mediocre at best. food: it's like a fast food seafood with a overload of fried seafood... nothing heathy At all

Expensive if a light eater. Buffet was good but difficult for a normal person to eat $27.99 worth of seafood unless you eat crab legs. Service was very good.

Went to Bennett's Seafood yesterday for the first time. We ordered off the menu, so this review is not for the buffet. The Sun Newspaper had a $4.95 plate deal. They gave us a "seniors and locals" menu. There was alot to choose from. I got the seafood platter. Fried shrimp, oysters, fish and deviled crab. Also came with slaw and a baked potato. The waitress brought out hushpuppies before the meal, and they were very good. Except for the deviled crab, everything else was very good. I was surprised by the quality of the seafood items, and they were very generous with the portions. The normal price for the platter is $8.95, I'm not sure if they would let anyone order off of that menu, but if they would, I would definitely go back.

On vacation and we were looking for good seafood. We showed up noticed that there was a buffet. Im not a fan of buffet style dining so I asked if there was a menu to order from before being seated. Hostess stated of course we have a menu. I said great and proceeded to our table. My husband ordered the simple fried shrimp and I ordered the fried oysters. The food came out fast however the fried shrimp was raw and the battered oysters were soggy and mush. I never send food back but it was not edible. Explained to the waitress that the shrimp was raw. The manger then came over and asked what was wrong with the shrimp. I explained that they are raw. He states "oh so you like your shrimp well done." I said no I just like them cooked. He continued to act like we were the problem. Finally I said if I wanted sushi I would have went to a sushi Restraunt. It was not like the shrimp were a little under cooked if so we would have still eaten them BUT that was not the case. The shrimp were raw. We paid for our drinks and left hungry and disappointed. I was more upset by the manager than the raw food.

So gross... I'll preface this review by saying I don't think you can get quality food at a buffet....especially seafood. After setting under a hot light on a steam table, everything ends up overcooked or chewy. I was brought here by my relatives who had heard this place had a "great buffet"...which, as I stated earlier, is an oxymoron. There are no great buffets. This one was particularly gross....Most of our group had stomach problems after eating here. Our waitress looked like she was on a 4-day meth binge. The lighting was so bright that I felt like I was in a school cafeteria. The rest of the people dining here looked like you would think they would look like.... Skip it...spend some extra money and go to a sit-down restaurant where they actually serve you your food like a human being....Or go be a piggy and eat at the troph with all of the other people who have no respect for what they shove in their mouths.

Puny crab legs. Really SLOW service. What kind of service do you need for a buffet? Well, they could bring you your plates and drinks quickly. What about clearing off all the empty crab legs and refilling your drinks? That would be nice. This is known for it's buffet, but it's really small compared to some others we have visited in this area. There is a table with 1/2 salad bar 1/2 cold shrimp, crawdads and oysters. Then there's the stuff at the wall which includes the crab legs, fish, shrimp, fried chicken and your other basic fare. The dessert buffet was ok, but we experienced a tragedy. THE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM MACHINE WAS OUT OF ORDER! There were only a few chocolate items like cake with nuts, chocolate mint cookies and chocolate pudding. The strawberry shortcake was too mushy and so was the key lime pie. Yes it is expensive, but there are coupons in all the touristy books. If you want to experience a good seafood buffet, don't go here, go to Benjamin's.

The food here is pretty hit and miss. The crab was good, some of the shrimp was good, and the fried scallops were incredible. Other than that everything is mediocre. I'm not gonna say it wasn't worth the money, but I'm pretty sure it could be better spent.

Let me start this with a positive note. The service was great. But beyond that, don't even waste your time. My boyfriend and I were looking forward to an all you can eat seafood place... We're on vacation. Who wouldn't want that right? Nothing there was good. The seafood was bland, we had to ask for old bay seasoning. The tuna was overcooked and hard. Their clam chowder soup was awful- I think Campbell's is better. The salad bar was very limited and they didn't have steamed oysters (I believe the website advertised they did). Overall, a huge disappointment. We are still on the hunt for a good all you can eat seafood place in myrtle.
